Holiday Accommodation on Rosehaugh Estate

Rosehaugh Estate is a beautiful place to spend a holiday. We have several unique and historically interesting properties to offer, all very different from each other, but all delightful.

The Boat House and Otter Lodge are detached, self-contained buildings, each sleeping four - the Boat House has two en-suite bedrooms each with king-sized double bed, whereas Otter Lodge has one en-suite bedroom with king-sized double bed and one twin single bedded room next to a family bathroom.

Otter Lodge and the Boat House are around 300 yards apart, so if you want to bring a party of up to eight people you can do so by booking both houses. Otter Lodge has a large living-dining room, with a dining table that extends to accommodate eight people in comfort, so if you do bring a joint party to Rosehaugh, you can all eat together whenever you want to.

Red Kite House is a much larger building and has been divided into two apartments. The ground floor is called Osprey Apartment and sleeps six in two double rooms and a twin single. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities with an additional family bathroom.
Upstairs is Red Squirrel Apartment, sleeping four. The master bedroom has king sized double bed with en-suite shower room. There is a further twin single bedded room and a family bathroom.
The dining table in Osprey can seat ten, and the house can booked as a single unit to accommodate up to ten people if you want to bring a large party to stay together under one roof.

Bay Farm Cottages are a pair of semi-detached cottages, set on the shore above Munlochy Bay. Each one sleeps four, in one double and one twin bedded room, each with en-suite facilities. Again they can be booked together to sleep up to eight people.

Facilities

Each of our properties are well equipped with fridge and freezer compartment or separate freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/tumble drier, microwave, electric oven and hobs, satellite TV with DVD, CD/radio, all have central heating, Otter Lodge has underfloor heating. All electricity and heating fuel is included in the price, and bed linen and towels are provided at no extra cost.

Pets

We welcome one well behaved dog to some of our properties, but we ask that the dog is not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms, and any dog brought onto the Estate must be safe with farm animals. No other pets are allowed in any of the properties. You may bring a dog to Roebuck Cottage at Bay Farm, Otter Lodge, the Boat House and Osprey apartment in Red Kite House; Swallow Cottage and Red Squirrel apartment are kept pet free.

You must inform us when you book if you will be bringing a dog with you.

Disabled and partially-abled people

Otter Lodge and Osprey apartment are particularly suited for disabled people, being on one level with ground floor access. Bay Farm Cottages have a mezzanine level which is up a short flight of stairs, where the television is situated. Anyone who cannot manage the stairs will be unable to watch television while at Bay Farm, but in all other respects Roebuck and Swallow cottages are suitable for wheelchairs.

The Boat House has a steep spiral staircase giving access to the lounge and balcony, and Red Squirrel is an upstairs apartment and so these two properties are not suitable for wheelchair users, and are not ideal for partially abled people.
We make aids for disabled people available - we have a bath seat and a sturdy frame which can be fitted around the WC. If required, please request these aids when you book.

Children

Because of the proximity of the lake, and the high level balcony, the Boat house is not suitable for children under 12. Otter Lodge is further from the lake and is suitable for children, but you should be aware that there is a stream close beside the house, and a channel of the stream actually flowing under the house itself.

A high chair and cot are available at no extra cost in all accommodation except the Boat House. If required, please request these facilities when you book.
